| Jean's 1992 XJS V12 Jaguar has needed a top replacement for some time. Unable to find an upholstery shop willing to take on the job (to my surprise) we decided to give it a try, based on the premise that if it got too bad, I'd stop before starting on the new top. I've replaced tops on manual tops before (TR6, MGB, etc.) but never a power top with a headliner. Jean and Alan brought the car over on a Sunday afternoon after a long drive. The big V12 does sound good and runs incredibly smooth. I searched high and low for some pictures on the internet on how to replace this top and since I found none, I decided to put these up on the web as I progressed. |
